Mrs. Barbara Ann White Gladden was born on April 5,1949 to Willie and Julius White. She departed this life on Thursday, June 11, 2026, surrounded by her family and friends.
Barbara attended Westside High School in Talladega, AL before moving to Dayton, Ohio. Barbara's life was a beautiful reflection of love, kindness, and devotion to family. She was caring and compassionate person who found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved. Her family was the center of her world, and she treasured every moment shared with her children, grandchildren, relatives and friends. She embraced life with a grateful heart and a positive spirit. Whether celebrating special occasions, sharing stories, offering words of encouragement, or simply enjoying the company of loved ones, she made every moment meaningful. Her kindness touched countless lives.
She is preceded in death by her parents Willie and Julius White; Daughter: Sharron Gladden, Granddaughter: Latoya Gladden; Brothers: James Curtis White, Thomas White, Willie C. White; and Sister: Betsy Ruth White.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Her three children: Patricia (Fletcher) Williams; Selena Gladden, and Latosha Gladden; Her best friends: Sharron Edmondson, Annie Lawrence, Patricia Younge, and Val; Grandkids: Antwan Reid, Sherwan Younge, Danny Gladden, Shaneeka Williams, Tracy Crumb, Rafael Blair; Great-Grandkids: Danny Jr, Damiya, Taziya, Skyler, M'Leah, Traci, Malachi, Lamar, T'Mauri, Marcus, Marvin, Zakia, Michael, Amy'Arie, A'Myrie; Siblings: Shirley McKenzie, Linda White, Gloria White, and Julius (Barbara) White; Her bonus babies she babysat and a host of nieces and nephews.
