Bernard “Thomas” White Jr., age 44, departed this earth unexpectantly on August 5th 2024. He was born on June 22nd, 1980 in Dayton, Ohio to Ilona and the late Bernard White Sr. He accepted Jesus Christ as his savior at age 10 and never swayed in his faith.
Thomas was competitive and athletic. He enjoyed playing baseball, soccer and training in martial arts. He graduated from MVCTC (electronics) and Trotwood-Madison schools. He played varsity soccer at Trotwood for four years and was listed as “All City” as well as lettering all four years. He later used his soccer skills to coach and referee at Trotwood SAY Soccer. His years training in Martial Arts won him several trophies and awards in competition. He continued in Martial Arts after moving to Columbus, Ohio where he taught others the discipline.
Thomas enlisted in the Air Force and worked in Avionics. Afterwards he earned HVAC certification and worked several years in the industry before furthering his education. He obtained a B.S. in Computer Information Science where he changed his career field to IT. During his time in the IT field, he earned several certifications and accolades by his superiors for great performance work. He enjoyed the hardware and networking aspects of computers and owned a plethora of computers and associated devices.
Thomas was an avid lover of anime and a collector of comic books that he kept in pristine condition. He also loved the “Flash” and made sure to let you know about Wally West. He called family members regularly as his love for his family was everything only topped by his love for his daughter Brianna. She was his world! He was a great dad and active part of her life.
Thomas leaves to cherish his memory , devoted grandparents Fred and Maritta Hall (Opa & Oma), mother Ilona (Henry) Benson, daughter Brianna White, sister Mariah Benson, and brothers Aaron (Diamond) Benson, Eric (Kristen) Benson, Bernhardt Parker, and host of family and friends. Private service for family.
He will forever be in our hearts.
