Billy James Head

Billy James Head was born on June 9, 1959, in Dayton, Ohio. He accepted Christ at a young age and was a member of God's Temple of Peace for all People. Billy cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Billy also loved sports. His favorite team were the BENGALS. (WHO DEY)! On Thursday, May 2, 2024, Billy passed away and joined the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy Hall and Julia Ann Head, his wife Diane C Head, and his special uncle and aunt, Oscar James Bloodsaw and Lizzie Mae Bloodsaw. Billy graduated from Roth High School in Dayton and worked as a truck driver for many years. He is survived by his sister, Snobia, and brothers Barry, Anthony, and Charles Head, all of Dayton, Ohio. He is also survived by his three loving children, Jamel Head, Danielle Head, and Oriel Scott, and his son-in-law Jermaine Scott, all of Dayton. His grandchildren, Jada Scott (Fat Fat), Jakoby Scott (Bucket Head), and Daniel Russell Jr. (baby D), will always remember him fondly. He also leaves behind his favorite niece, L’Donna Head, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Billy will be deeply missed by all who knew him, including Nurse Patrice Hawes. He will be remembered for his love for his family, his dedication to his work, and his faith in Christ.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Gateway Missionary Baptist Church, 930 Steele Avenue, Dayton, Ohio. Visitation 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.., family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. Bishop Mark Mays, officiating.
