Carolyn V. (Norrod) Taylor

With deep sadness we announce Carolyn Virginia Norrod Taylor, 77, of Trotwood, OH passed away at home on January 1, 2023. Carolyn was born in Cookeville, TN on October 6, 1945. She was born to William Thomas Norrod and Amy Dora Padgett. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, brother David Norrod and son Gabriel Thomas Taylor. She is survived by her siblings Gary Norrod, Bruce Roberson, Brent Roberson, Biff Roberson, Sharon Roberson Harrell, Mike Norrod and Tim Norrod; children Shawntay Shimabukuro, Gina Benitez and Seth Taylor Sr; grandchildren Erin Wisniewski(Adam), Edin Kelley(Tommy), Elissa Moore, Emilia Moore, Seth Taylor Jr, Gabriel Domasi Taylor and Selena Taylor; and great grandchildren Navy, Oliver, Emmett, and Isla.

Carolyn was a member of the Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and a faithful servant of Jehovah for 55 years. She was a professional seamstress and enjoyed photography, painting, reading, musicals, and going out to eat. She was known for her quick wit, sarcastic sense of humor and her love for coffee. Her greatest desire was to see her parents and son again in Paradise (John 5:28, 29; Psalms 37:9-11, 29). In her final days, there was nothing she enjoyed more than being surrounded by her kids and grandkids…and watching Mysteries at the Museum.
