Charlene Denise Wheeler-Pollard, was born August 17, 1971, in Dayton, Ohio to the union of the late Charles D. Wheeler Sr. and Viola Wheeler. Charlene peacefully departed this mortal life to obtain her heavenly reward on December 23, 2023 at the Hospice of Dayton. Charlene was educated in the Dayton Public School System and graduated from Dunbar High School in 1989. Charlene was truly talented and creative. She developed a love and passion for cosmetology with the aspiration of becoming a hair stylist. A dream deferred to raise her gifts from God and treasures, her two sons. Charlene was employed with General Motors Truck and Bus. Charlene was a faithful member of the Vineyard Church of The Harvest. She served on the pantry and kitchen ministry. Like her mother, Charlene expressed her love language through giving. She sought to help those less fortunate, she would ride around various communities seeking the homeless to bless them with a care packet. Charlene was a lover of family. She thoroughly enjoyed family gatherings and often blessed them with her pastry expertise. Boy, could she burn! literally every dessert she made. Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Viola Wheeler. If we were allowed a glimpse into heaven, we would see her in their arms. She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, Dominic Pollard Jr. (Christina McWhorter) and Quavon Pollard (Mykal Lamb); two brothers Charles Wheeler Jr. (Tronica) and Steven Wheeler, Sr. (Tanisha), all from Dayton, Ohio; three grandchildren, Ni’Kaelah, Ni’Riah and Ni’Layah Pollard; one soon to be born grandson. One four-legged fur baby, King Pollard. A bonus sister and best friend of 49 years, Joni Corley; God -son Derrick Corley and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral services 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 6, 2023 at Vineyard Church of the Harvest, 3110 Stop Eight Road with Dr. Robert J. Brown, officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Interment: West Memory Gardens.
