Corey Lamont Antwuan Prater, Jr.

Corey Lamont Antwuan Prater, Jr., affectionately known as "Fat Man" departed this life surrounded by family and friends on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at the age of 14. He was born October 4, 2009 to his devoted parents, Veronica Camp and Corey Prater, Sr., in Dayton, Ohio. Corey was in the eighth grade and attended City Day Community School and Webster Street Academy. As all teenage boys he loved basketball, skating and video games. Though his time with us was tragically short, Corey's memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will never be forgotten. Corey was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Mary Ann Camp-Louis and James D. Louis; his grandmother, Angela Hines; uncle, Rodney Camp. He leaves to cherish his memory, devoted parents; seven sisters, Scotiashia Watkins, Lashira, La'Skyla and A'marie Prater, Justice Cotton, Lloyalty Kelley and Ty'Aira Wooten; two brothers, Lamonie Kelley and Ty"Ren Wooten; grandparents, Paulette Camp and Donald McCleskey; six aunts, Kar'Neisha Darden, Airiana, Meleeka and Mikayla Camp, Charlotte Hines and Amanda McClellon; five uncles, Davion Owensby, Jeffrey, DeVontae, and Darius Camp, Donnie McCleskey and Jason McClellon; one great aunt, Janice Camp (Charles Banks); one great uncle, Paul (Dionne) Camp; special cousins, Jayon Brooks, Donnie and Donavan McCleskey; special friends, Docarian Tisdale and Javonta Morgan; and a host of other family, and friends, including his Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church family. Funeral Services 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 25, 2024 at Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. P. E. Henderson Jr., officiating. Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment: Shiloh Park Cemetery
