GRIMES, Mr. Danny Garcia born February 2nd, 1964, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Danny Grimes died at peace in Dayton, Ohio January 27,2022 at 57 years old. Danny lived a good life and created many memories with his family and friends. Danny was very skilled, he could fix and put anything together. Danny worked for many years with his longtime friends Dewell Foster and Mike Elijah doing home rehabs. Danny loved gambling, on any given night you could find him playing a game of tonk or spades. You have to watch him though because he would cheat. Danny was the man back in the day when he caught the eye Phyllis Defurr who became a forever support system, mother to six of his kids, and friend. Danny loved his entire family, especially his kids with emphasis on his sons, that kept him feeling young. You could catch Danny in a suit with dress shoes just because he wanted to. He was a self-proclaimed grill master, no one could ever tell him anything about the grill. Danny loved a good old cookout with some barbeque he always wanted all his children, grandchildren, and entire family in attendance.

To honor his life and cherish his memory Danny Leaves behind his loyal siblings, Lauver King, Otis ‘TC’ Grimes, Alex ‘Lee’ King, Antonio ‘Eugene’ King, Uncle Lester ‘Bud’ Hunt; 8 Amazing children, Monique Lucas, Andre Clark, Daniel Grimes, Ashley (Narada) Sloan, Lekesia (Roger) Clay, Dashaun Defurr, Cherise Grimes (Mark) Moon, Victoria Tanner; 23 Grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. long-time and dependable companion Karen Williamson who he loved. Special cousins Thames Family and a host of other cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Funeral Service 12:00 p.m., Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Greater Works Christian Center, 1304 St. Adalbert Street, Dayton, Ohio with Bishop Terry Glenn, officiating. Visitation one hour prior to service. MASK MUST BE WORN FOR SERVICES
