Donna (Palmer) Green

Donna Green-Palmer, age 73, of Dayton, Ohio, completed her life’s journey peacefully on October 2, 2025, surrounded by her devoted family. She was born on June 30, 1952, in Fort Dix, New Jersey, to the late Robert and Avery Palmer.

Donna was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Tanya Green; her brother, Anthony “Tony” Reed; and her sisters, Jackie Reed, Sybil Palmer, and Audrey “Archie” Palmer. Though they have gone before her, their memories remained ever-present in her heart.

A proud graduate of Roosevelt High School’s Class of 1971, Donna carried her school pride and the values it instilled throughout her life. She went on to dedicate more than three decades of faithful service as a case worker with Montgomery County Jobs & Family Services in Dayton. Through her compassion, professionalism, and tireless work ethic, Donna positively impacted countless lives. She was deeply respected by her colleagues and those she served, known for treating everyone with dignity, empathy, and unwavering kindness.

Donna will be fondly remembered for her warm heart, quick wit, and generous spirit. She had a special gift for bringing people together, often hosting family gatherings filled with laughter, good food, and friendly card games. Donna found great joy in daily conversations with her loved ones and treasured her time spent at the Roosevelt Center, where she shared close bonds and lasting friendships. Her presence lit up every room, and her love for others was the foundation of everything she did.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted daughter, Dionne Green; her loving sister, Rosalind “Roz” Greer; and her dear brothers, Robert “Bobby” (Sarah) Palmer and Jan (Carolyn) Palmer. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren — Malin Campbell, Daryl Wallace, Dontae Wallace, Chantel Wallace, Gleneice Phillips, Donnell Phillips, Charnetta Hand, and Tanyell Hand — along with a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and treasured friends who will continue to honor and celebrate her remarkable life.

Donna’s life was a reflection of love, selflessness, and faith. Her legacy of compassion and strength will continue to live on through all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
