Donna Maxine Peake

Donna Maxine Woods Peake, age 58, transitioned to be with the Lord on June 3, 2022, at Grandview Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. She was born on April 19, 1964, at Mercy Hospital in Toledo, Ohio and spent her early years in Toledo. In 1972, she and her family relocated to Columbus, Ohio.

Donna graduated from South High school in 1983. While in high school she was a member of the basketball and volleyball teams.

In the early 1990s, she moved to Dayton, Ohio and established herself in the Dayton community. Donna had a strong work ethic and worked in several fast-food restaurants, including Kentucky Fried Chicken, Churches and Burger King. Due to her declining health, she retired in 2014.

Donna was a good friend to many and loved to work with and help children. In 2016, she joined West Dayton Strong, a nonprofit organization that holds community events, after school programs, and other projects in the community. 

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Sylvester Lewis Woods, Sr. and Beatrice Evangeline Woods; sister, Jacqueline (Jackie) Yvonne McNeal; brothers, Gregory Allen Woods, Sr.;  Joseph (Joey) Sylvester Lewis Woods, Jr. (recently deceased); and special cousin Darren Wood, Sr. 

She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Donnetta Peake; son, Donnell Woods; brother, Daniel (Teresa) Woods; brother-in-law Jeffrey McNeal; sister-in-law Deidra Woods; special cousin, Frances Rembert; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorial service will be Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Pryor Funeral Home, 2520 Shiloh Springs Rd., Trotwood, OH  45426. The family requests all attendees to  wear a face mask.
