EMMA GUY Obituary

GUY, Emma Louise age 53, passed away on July 12, 2020. Emma was born on November 23, 1966 at Route 1 Box 308 in Bolivar, Tennessee on the Perry/Guy Farm owned by her grandparents the late Joe Mack Perry and the late Emma Lou Perry. On that same farm, lived her parents the late Monroe Guy and the late Thelma Guy. Also living there, were her two sisters that she loved dearly: Dianne (LC) Stewart of Bolivar TN, Candis (Kenneth) Cross of Bolivar TN, two brothers that she loved dearly: Ralph (Latanya) Guy of Dayton, OH and Alvin (Stephanie) Guy of Dayton, OH. Emma attended Bolivar Central High School and shortly afterwards entered into the work field where she worked various jobs. She was a very energetic and motivated person throughout her life. Her energy and motivation made her an exceptional worker, which led to her being very independent and self-sufficient.

On July 21, 1966, Emma gave birth to her son and the love of her life, JoQuentin Watford-Guy. The love that she had for Quinn was second to none. He was her life. They had a wonderful Mother/Son relationship throughout life until she was called to her Heavenly home. Emma and JoQuentin eventually relocated from Bolivar TN to Dayton OH, where her two brothers lived. In Dayton, she continued to be that energetic and motivated worker and took care of her son until he reached adulthood.

Emma had a very youthful and modern spirit and displayed it in how she dressed and the different hairstyles that she would sport. She also had some pretty cool tatoos. She loved her pet dogs, Kane and Gee-Gee. Emma also had strong family values. She loved coming to her brother’s cook outs. At the cookouts, she would have a great time and could talk for hours. In recent times, she frequently said that when this COVID-19 virus was over, she wanted to have a big family cook-out and just enjoy being surrounded by all family members. We are going to miss her immensely.

Other family members that she leave behind that are deeply sadden are: Nieces and Nephews:  Miranda Wiley (Jay) Whiteville, TN which she referred to as her baby sister.
