It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of Gelenda Jones, who went home to be with the Lord on September 23, 2025, at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. She was born on June 22, 1953, in Dayton, Ohio, and lived a life filled with faith, devotion, and unwavering love for her family.

Gelenda was a devoted mother who cherished her children with all her heart. Her nurturing spirit, compassion, and wisdom guided those she loved, and her family will forever remember the strength and care she gave so generously. Her love was not only evident within her home but also extended to her church community, where she faithfully served and lived her life as a woman of God. Gelenda’s faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she drew strength, peace, and purpose from her walk with the Lord.

After a life of hard work, Gelenda retired, spending her days in the presence of the people she loved most. Whether with her family, close friends, or her church community, she brought joy, laughter, and comfort wherever she went. Her warm heart, gentle smile, and deep faith touched all who knew her.
