Herbert (Herbie) Terry, age 71, passed away unexpectedly on August 6th 2024. He was born June 2nd 1953, to the late Herbert and Anna Christine (Mort) Terry. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Christine (Brock) Mort; paternal grandparents, Herbert and Ruby (Sergeant) Terry; Aunt Lillian (Lare) Terry; uncles, Jim Mort, Ralph, Claude, Arnold and Jerry Terry.
Herbie is survived by his son, Nicholas Herbert, daughter Melissa Marie, precious granddaughter Kennedy Christine, the mother of his children Bonnie (Klepacz) Terry and by his extended family and friends.
Herbie was an electrician by trade and retired in 2019. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing and playing Keno. He was a fan of Ohio State, the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds and the Dayton Dragons. He was the grill master for family cookouts. Herbie loved putting on spectacular fireworks displays for the 4th of July. But, above all this, he loved spending time with his precious granddaughter Kennedy Christine. She could always make her papa smile!
Bonnie, Nicholas, Melissa and Kennedy have wonderful lifetime memories of family vacations, family get-togethers, holidays, birthdays and special times with Herbie that they will cherish forever.
A graveside service at Dayton Memorial Park where he will be laid to rest with his family will be held at a later date. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, August 25th beginning at 3pm at Fricker's on Woodman Drive.
"Please don't be sad or cry, my Papa's not in pain anymore." Love, Kennedy Christine.
