My beloved son, Isiah Jamar Butler entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at the age of thirty-four (34).
Born on May 1, 1991, Isiah lived a life of quiet strength and deep spiritual presence. Though epilepsy affected his speech, his heart spoke clearly and powerfully. Those who truly knew him understood his love, faith, and humor that flowed freely in ways that needed no explanation. He loved his SHOE STRINGS and would challenge anyone trying to confiscate them.
Isiah was a man of gentle spirit and quiet ways, often expressing himself through a knowing smile, a look of understanding, or perfectly timed humor that brought joy and laughter to those closest to him — BUT DIDN’T “PLAY ABOUT HIS FOOD!” He was a true Foodie! The rattling of a bag would often get his immediate attention. He had a way of reminding others that God speaks not only through words, but through presence, patience, and love.
Isiah found Christ at an early age, dedicated in 1994, his faith was sincere and steady, reflected in how he lived and how he endured life. He taught those around him that strength can be soft, courageous, and silent, as God’s grace is often found in stillness.
He is deeply loved and survived by his dedicated mother, Brenda Minnifield-Butler, who will forever treasure his memory and the lessons he left behind. He also leaves his Ohio Family, Auntie Lynda and Auntie Margie, Uncle Larry and a host of cousins and family. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all caregivers, medical professionals, and friends—especially to Mr. B and Mrs. Angela Hamilton and daughters, Kiani and Myesha Dawes, Mother Carmen, Dr. Anderson, Dr. Sankar, UCLA, WRC, Mr. Ivan, Continuity Home Health, Michelle Hayes, and a host of other special friends and family who walked beside Isiah with compassion and unprecedented care.
Though his voice may now be still, his spirit speaks on — held in God’s embrace, remembered forever.
