John Neil Toney, age 75, passed away on January 11, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on December 14, 1950, in Dayton, Ohio, and remained a lifelong resident of Dayton, where he built his life, family, and business.
John was a loving father to Jennifer (Rob) Infanto-Seibert and Brent (Nicole) Toney, and a proud grandfather to Niko and Nash Infanto and Bryce and Myla Toney, who brought him immense joy. He is survived by his siblings Linda, Charles, and Tom Toney, as well as his devoted girlfriend, Karla Bynum, who stood faithfully by his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Ruth Toney, and his brothers Michael and Kenny Toney.
A graduate of Vandalia Butler High School, Class of 1969, John went on to become the proud owner of Toney’s Spouting Company, which he officially founded in 1981. Through hard work and dedication, he built not only a successful business but also lasting friendships and strong ties throughout the Dayton community. Known as a true free spirit, John embraced life fully and lived it on his own terms, valuing independence, honesty, and hard work.
John will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, resilience, and authenticity will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
