Michael Lee Townes

Michael Lee Townes, 61 died Friday April 8, 2022 in the care of Hospice in Dayton, Ohio. Michael was born February 18, 1961 in Chatham Virginia to Clarence and Coriene Townes who precedes him in death. Michael was an Army Veteran from 1978 to 1980 where he was in Infantry and reached the rank of E3.  He was honorably discharged. Mike or “Chilly Pimp” as he was affectionately called by many, was a very funny and loving guy who always had a smile on his face.  Even when he was down he still could make others laugh. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Mike is preceded in death by grandparents Clarence Sr. and Cassie Townes, 2 brothers, Jimmy and Fred Townes. Mike is survived by his children Lamar Coles, Taquandra Alexander, Ashawnti Townes, Breonna Townes, Michael Jr, Trey Warr, Jerray Woods, Ersell and Saundiago Smith, 9 grandchildren (with special grandchild, Zorie Alexander) Brothers Richard (Darla) Turner, Stephen Townes, Timothy Townes and sister Rezesta Townes, 3 Uncles   Tommy, Ronnie, and Chris and a host of nieces and nephews and close friend LaShawn Warr-Townes and family.

Mike will be cremated and a Memorial will be held in his honor at a later date.
