Ollie Yvonne Johnson

It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we share the passing of Ollie “Yvonne” Johnson, age 70, of Centerville, Ohio, who departed this life on October 16, 2025.

Born on June 17, 1955, Yvonne lived a life filled with love, faith, and devotion to her family and to Jehovah. For over 32 wonderful years, she served faithfully as a zealous and devoted Witness of Jehovah, finding joy and strength in her spiritual service and in the bonds of her congregation.

A proud graduate of Roth High School, Class of 1973, Yvonne will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her creativity, and her unwavering love for her family. She cherished the special bond she shared with her sisters and delighted in family gatherings filled with laughter, music, and love. Yvonne had a gift for bringing beauty into every space — whether through decorating weddings, creating lovely floral arrangements, or simply sharing her warm and caring presence.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Samuel and Annie Johnson; her brothers, Robert “Bobby” Shaw Sr. and Samuel “Jerome” Johnson Sr.; her sisters, Irene “Jeanie” Stevens, Carmen Johnson, and Elvena “Anita” Caldwell; her niece, Qiana Adkins-Lloyd; and her nephews, Charles “Lil Ju” Martin, Robert M. Shaw Jr., and Boyd Adkins IV.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Yvonne is survived by her devoted sisters Della Shaw, Tammy Adkins, and Dora Johnson, as well as Annie (Robert) Lee; her brother Curtis L. Johnson Sr.; and her beloved cousin Laymon McLarty. She is also lovingly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Yvonne’s life was a testament to love, faith, and family — qualities that will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 1015 Liscum Drive, Dayton, Ohio.

Service: 11:00 A.M.
