ALLEY, Mr. Philip Kay, age 73 of Dayton, Ohio passed away on Friday February 4, 2022 at Dayton VA Medical Center, Philip was a very intelligent book smart and street smart. He loved to read, he read the Bible from beginning to end several times. He had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. While Philip lived in Dayton he helped with the veterans and the homeless. He was a complex person and will be missed by the people that truly knew him. Philip was born on July 2, 1948 to Rolland D. and Lela Brown Alley. He grew up in Morrow, Ohio and attended Little Miami High School. Philip joined the United States Army in 1965 after basic training he was deployed to Germany, then to Vietnam where he served for thirteen months. Philip is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dewey M. Alley; sister-in-law, Louetta Campbell Alley; brother-in-law, David R. Wallingford. He is survived by sister, Linda Alley Wallingford of Peebles, Ohio; brother, Michael P. (Jeri) Alley of Lebanon, Ohio, David A. (Phyllis) Alley of Morrow, Ohio; several nieces, nephews, numerous great nieces, nephews; one great-great nephew. Service are scheduled for 12:30 p.m., Thursday, February 24, 2022 at the Dayton National Cemetery, 4100 West Third Street, Dayton, Ohio. MASK MUST BE WORN FOR THIS SERVICE.
