Raymond Eugene Captain

Raymond Eugene Captain was born March 29, 1962 to Eugene and Lillie Captain. After a year of battling cancer, Raymond departed this life Saturday, July 6, 2024. Raymond was a wonderful son, father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with all of his grandchildren. He was a 1980 graduate of Dunbar High School and long time employee of Goodwill, on North Dixie Drive. Raymond loved spending time with his family and friend, Kenny. When Raymond, and his family got together, there was love, laughter, and good times going down memo lane. Raymond loved watching football and was a committed Raider's fan. He always believed the Raiders would go to the Super Bowl, and would say, "Just wait and see!". Raymond is united in heaven with this father, Eugene Captain; sister, Tammy Captain; nephew, Kendall Captain and Ottis Calloway; niece, Lillian Ann Young; great nephew, Otterion Calloway; brother in love, Anthony "Red" Early and his beloved, Mondina Floyd. To treasure his memories, Raymond leaves his sons, DeVonne and Raymond Captain; daughters, Ebony and Chanell Captain; sisters, Debra Captain Hodge, Patty Captain, Brenda Mack-Captain; brother, Bernard Captain; grandchildren, Xavierah Captain, Joseph Captain, Turrell Sumlin, Jr., Jayshawn Mason, Elijah Captain, Usiah Mason, Taylor Pierce, Darrnell Pierce, Austin Pierce, Jarrell Pierce, Muh Donnis Mason and a host of other family members. Funeral Services were held 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Mt. Enon Missionary Baptist Church. Interment: West Memory Gardens.
