Saundra Smothers

Saundra Mae Smothers, 77 of Dayton passed away May 15, 2025. She was born September 28, 1947. She always has a great outlook on life, whether she wanted to throw a BBQ or just chill out with friends. Saundra accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a member of Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She continued to be an active member even as her health declined. Saundra will forever be missed and loved by so many. Saundra was proceeded in death by her parents Susie Mae Smothers and Herman Smothers and one sister Donna Elizabeth Smothers. She leaves to cherish her memory Cornelia V. Wilcoxson and son in law Sylvester Wilcoxson,  3 grandchildren Nyshea White, Aujanea Lacking and Jamon Lacking and 10 great grandchildren. Saundra has a host of friends at the Ashbury Apartments that she loved dearly and also at RTA.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Saundra Smothers, who departed this life on May 15, 2025. Saundra was a beloved mother, sister, friend, and community member whose kindness and strength touched all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Rock Hill Baptist Church at 11AM.

She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
