Steven Henderson Obituary

Steven Doe Henderson, age 57, was born on April 29, 1968, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Allen Doe Henderson and Lydia A. Henderson. On Sunday afternoon, September 7, 2025, after a lengthy illness, Steven peacefully transitioned from this life and was called home to be with the Lord in his hometown of Dayton, Ohio.

Steven was preceded in death by his loving parents, Allen Doe Henderson and Lydia A. Henderson; his brothers, William Anthony Keith, Todd Reese and Allen Doe Boyd-Henderson; and his sister, Allyn Michelle Henderson.

To cherish his memory, Steven leaves behind his wife, Melody Henderson; his two precious daughters, Shavia (Titania) Henderson and Shanae (Ronald) Shephard; and his greatest joys, his grandchildren: Jamar Jr. & Shamya Casey, Ronald, Raj, Sarenity, and Sole Shephard. He is also survived by his sisters, Kim, Theresa, Carmella (David), Karla, Alisa, and Saunya; his brothers, Ricardo, Richard, and Nasrrudiyn; along with a host of nieces and nephews, along with special niece Monique Hughes.

Steven accepted the Lord as his Savior early in life and remained a faithful believer. His life was a reflection of his faith—rooted in prayer, strength, and trust in God. Steven was known for his bright spirit and his gift of laughter. He lit up every room he entered with his sense of humor, his warm smile, and his loving heart. He treasured his time with his siblings and shared an unshakable, tender love for his grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable joy, especially his Ace, Jamar.

He will be remembered as fun-loving, kind-hearted, and a man who always strived to make his family proud. Steven touched many lives with his love, his laughter, and his unwavering belief in God. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends who were blessed to know him.

Though his earthly journey has ended, Steven’s spirit will forever live on in the memories we hold dear. May he rest peacefully in God’s eternal arms, where there is no more pain, only everlasting joy.
