Steven R Jones SR

Steve Richard Jones Sr. was born on September 21, 1957, at Grandview Hospital in Fairborn, Ohio. He peacefully departed this life on January 1, 2025.

Steve was a devoted fisherman and hunter, and these passions were truly his calling. He also had a remarkable talent for painting. His caring nature and loving heart were felt by all who knew him. Steve was always there with a story—whether it was about fishing, hunting, or simply having fun. His Halloween horror tales were a favorite among his family and friends.

He will be missed dearly by his children, Steven, Rachel, and Amber, as well as his five sisters—Tammy, Dottie, Sharon, Vicky, and Sandy. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his grandchildren: Keandre, Da'Kel, Dakayla, Dashayla, Mariah, and Channing. He is also survived by his nephews, Christopher and Andy.

Every time we cast a line while fishing, we will do so in his memory, hoping to catch one as big as the ones he often spoke about.

Rest in heaven, Dad.
