Sylvia Wright

WRIGHT, Mrs. Sylvia, 70, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022 at her residence. She graduated from Roosevelt High School Class of 1970, she was employed by and retired from Elder-Beerman after 20 years of devoted service. Sylvia was a very dedicated member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as an Usher and First Aider. She was also active in David V. Moore Grand Guild Drill Ameri Court #65, Past Matron Deborah Chapter No. 19 OSA PHA, Miami Assembly No. 22 OGC, Truth Guild No. 2 HOTC. She loved her fashion and had model in her earlier years. She always stayed active in whatever she loved, often saying, "The Good Lord will fix it." Amen. Preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie L. Wright; her parents, Eddie Walker, Sr and Nancy Ogelsby Walker Dean; stepfather, Richard Dean; brothers, Edward Walker, Ellis Walker and Eddie Walker, Jr; sisters, Barbara A. Huntley, Patty Embry and Brenda Walker; nephew, Brian Coatney. She leaves to cherish her memories: aunts, Annie Wallace and Mary (Clem) Caldwell; brother, Lawrence (Brenda) Walker; sister, Mae Coatney; brother-in-law, Gary Embry; niece/goddaughter, Renae Sanders; nephews, Ellis, Edward Jr., Eddie, III, Lawrence, Cordell, Chris, Jason Walker, Ken and Amhad Embry, Archie, Kevin, Cory and Rodney Coatney; nieces, Tina, Lisa, Nikki, Michell Walker, Twanna Embry, Isis Coatney; close friend, Mrs. Stokes; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 18, 2022 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 3801 Fairbanks Avenue, Dayton, Ohio.
