Ta'Raea Le'Nae Martin

A true daughter, sister and friend, Taraea Le’nae Martin was born March 29, 2004 in Sydney, Ohio. She is survived by her parents, Teona Martin & Traemon Davis and her grandmother, Twyvette Martin. She was so much more than a daughter, she was a best friend to both her mother and grandmother. Taraea was the oldest of four children. Taraea departed this life on December 14, 2021 at Children’s Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Vera and Nolen Martin and her special aunt, Tonya Martin. 

Affectionately known as Rae Rae, she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age.  She was a student at Trotwood Madison High School and a go-getter, boss and creative entrepreneur. She started a business, Taraea Art, where she created personalized baskets, t-shirts and more. Taraea checked on people, came around unannounced and was never down; everything about her was positive. She had an amazing voice. When she sang her favorite song, “For Your Glory” it would send chills up your spine. Taraea was wise beyond her years. She was always accepting and nonjudgmental; all she wanted was to be genuinely loved back. Taraea had a huge heart and a smile of gold that lit up the room. She will hold a place in the hearts of all who knew her forever.

She leaves her precious memories with her mother, Teona Martin, her father, Traemon Davis, her grandmother, Twyvette Martin, her brother, Donez Cook, two sisters, Zion Martin and Justice Newton, uncle Talbert Grooms, Jr, aunt Treona Martin, Steven Gitts, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
